Welcome to my little blog! Here I am in my sewing room, I hope you'll stay a while and see what there is to see.

I'm so happy to be able to share this with you today! My twin girls, Elliot and Emerson will be here sooner rather than later, and finally they have a room. I must say that I couldn't have done this without Haley's help! She came from Tucson to bring the dresser (with the cute mirror) because I purchased it from her Craigslist! She painted it here, as well as the bookcase that I acquired from the Yuma Craigslist. Both are painted with MMS milk paint in Ironstone.

I don't like to pay lots of money for furniture. I have also found that buying online from there lets me buy solid wood furniture that I don't feel guilty painting or getting rid of in a few years!

I made the panels to cover the book shelves. We are house-sitting for two years, so they are full of odds and ends from the owners and made the room darker. I decided I wanted to room to look light and airy, so I used tension rods and some flat sheets to accomplish that! I also made the crib skirts because I'm soooo not paying for them. These attach to the crib mattress frame with ribbon ties, so when I move the mattress lower , I can adjust the length. I LOOSELY based my measurements on this tutorial, but I obviously changed a few things! The cribs are Jenny Lind that I bought around Black Friday from Amazon.

I made the chevron minky blankets after seeing how much Haley's twin boys love theirs. My mother made the blessing dresses that you are getting a sneak peek of! Don't worry, there will be a whole post about those because they are amazing and she is the bomb. Don't you love this dresser and mirror?! I love it so much and hope that you all enjoy looking as much as I do. The signs with the initials are made by Haley, feel free to request your own in our shop!

I know that this is a photo overload, but I couldn't help myself :)

I am so glad I got to sneak away from my little family for a few days last week and help Rachel paint some furniture and see her lovely nursery! She did such an awesome job and I am sure her little ladies will be thoroughly impressed;). While I was visiting I rummaged through Rachel's sewing room ( which is also ridiculously cute!) and we we took pictures of about 15 projects all sitting waiting to be edited and shared with you all! Rachel is officially the quilting queen! I could not believe the amazing projects she is working on and I can't wait for her to share them all!
