Hi.

Welcome to my little blog! Here I am in my sewing room, I hope you'll stay a while and see what there is to see.

This Rustic Pines Quilt pattern is courtesy of Amber at Gigi's Thimble! Here is a link! I've had a few dealings with Amber, and I have to say, she is so SWEET! Like giving this as a free pattern, how nice is that? It was fun and easy, and now my living room looks more festive.  My pictures are not the best as usual, but you get the general idea. I really love that I got to use the Dear Stella fabrics I was hoarding, and only three fat quarters of green, one of brown, and one of red! I can justify buying a few creams and a background fabric, when I really just had to shop my stash of fabrics.

I used cuddle/minky fabric on the back, and I always have trouble basting and quilting when I do that, so my quilt looks a little puffy in some spots, but should be okay after a wash!

I love snuggly things always, and the heavier the better! Minky adds weight and a great amount of snuggle comfort, so I used it even though I don't love to sew with it. It was hard to keep Emerson and Elliot off of it while I was clipping my binding on! I should have taken a picture of that!
