Red Letter Day Quilt
Don't mind the duct tape, I'm just so happy to be finished with my Red Letter Day quilt! I worked on the one block at a time, gathering fabric as I went. It was a fun quilt to make, and not very difficult at all.
There are so many different fabrics in this, all with berries of some sort. There is Heather Ross, Bonnie and Camille, Atsuko Matsuyama, Lori Holt, and many more. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out, when it came back from the quilter, I was a little giddy! I added one row and one column to make this big enough for my bed. There is a strawberry pattern quilted on it, which I love as well!
I make a lot of gray and tan things on white for my shop, and those really are the most pleasant to me in any space. But I seriously love all the colors together, I have such an inner conflict about neutrals versus color! I love making colorful quilts, because I can always change them if I need to in favor of something light and white.
I chose black and white striped binding, because I still love it and think that it is so great on things that I can't pick a color. The backing is a 108 inch wide backing that looks like newsprint. I am now off to go snuggle it. Thanks for reading!
