I made this Range quilt for a friend in need of some cheering up! She loves the outdoors and mountains, so this is the one I did. The pattern is called Range by Nicole Daksiewicz of Modern Handcraft and you can purchase it here.
I wanted this to be a happy sunrise-looking quilt, and I was able to use fabric that I had already, which is why some colors look scrappy!
I’ve never done a quilt with piecing like this one before, but I enjoyed trying something new and using my stash! Not to mention (maybe) brightening someone’s day a little bit.
Sometimes the hardest part is picking the thread color to quilt with! Since i had super light and super dark fabrics, I just went with my Superior Thread in Pearl (3003). I love that stuff!
I use so much of this Clown Stripe fabric by Michael Miller for binding, that I really should just buy a bolt of it!
