Primrose Path Quilts
These quilts are the Primrose Path quilts (pattern by Woodberry Way). I made for my daughters fourth birthday. Elliot is the pink and Emerson is the blue/green. They have such distinct personalities, but they still enjoy matching each other, and being together, so I can still get away with this for now!
We went to a cool location around Sierra Vista to take these photos, I’d never been there before. I love going to places like this, it’s a historic old home that you can walk around inside and out. Basically I wish I could live in a location like this! How hard would it be to get a windmill like that?
Anyway, the girls got these for their 4th birthday, as they had been using their crib quilts in toddler beds. They got big girl (aka twin size) beds for their birthday and were so thrilled that they didn’t notice the quilts till a few days later. They did ask if I make them, so they have a vague idea that only I would do that for them lol. I was a little worried when Emerson tried to change her favorite color to yellow, and Elliot tried to change hers to green... right while I was secretly sewing these! I was able to talk them out of such nonsense until after their birthday though! 😂
Their birthday was a flamingo rainbow party by request, and their Poppy and Granny flew to Arizona from Tennessee to celebrate with them. The girls begged them for a couple of months and it worked! Then, Grandma and Grandpa came for the party and it was such a fun night with pizza, gifts, a piñata, and a scavenger hunt. Definitely a party for the books!
Shoutout to my husband for holding these quilts in a very irritating breeze! He is a champ!
